Jump Yard is the first and largest indoor trampoline park in the Philippines. You can play a dodge ball, cage ball, slam dunk basketball, wall climb, swing on monkey bars or foam bags and jump into foam pits.
Gab prepared well for this trip. He slept and woke up earlier than the usual. When we get there, I signed the waiver, pay fee, put on our grip socks, watch the safety video, left our bag in our locker and then we’re ready to jump!
Here are some important things to remember when going to the park, especially if you are coming with young kids.
1. Arrive at least 20 minutes early for the sign up and processing. To save time, you can sign up online and just line up for processing.
2. Wear comfortable and fitness clothing, preferably those that are stretchable and the required grip socks. Grip socks are being sold for Php 100/pair. You can bring and use them again on the next visit.
Bring an extra set of clothes. You will surely need to freshen up and change after the jump session.
3. Secure your valuables, empty your pockets of things (like keys, belts, gadgets), remove accessories that might get lost, fall off, or hit other persons.
Lockers are free for use but needs a Php 100 deposit. You need the lockers to store you things (if you do not have anyone to look after your things while you are in the jump area as you are not allowed to bring them, including
your water bottles).
4. Children below 3 years old are not allowed to enter the jump area.
Update as of Nov 8: There is now a designated area for little jumpers. They will be allowed to use the Toddler Area.
5. Children 3 to 5 years old are allowed only during the first hour of opening. Adult companion is required for children below 10 years of age.
Update as of Nov 8: There is now a designated area for little jumpers, kids 3-5 years old. They will be allowed to use the Toddler Area. They can enter anytime of the day as long as they use this designated area.
6. Olympic Trampolines are only for jumpers taller than 48” (or 1.2 m). Each trampoline in the park can safely take a maximum of 150 kg (or 330 lbs.).
7. Keep an eye on the kids, especially younger ones. While everyone entering the jump yard are required to watch the video of what to and what not to do, and there are marshals, make sure that no one cross over the trampoline where you child is jumping. It might result to a double bounce and might cause injury.
One hour of jumping is fun and is a good exercise for kids and adults alike. I think someone might be coming back for more jumps soon! We were glad we went there on a weekday as for sure the place is jump-packed on weekends.
Just like any sport (running, biking, etc) or any physical activity, jumping involves risks. Let us make sure to follow the rules an take extra precaution to avoid injuries.
