Somerset Millennium Makati was our home a few blocks away from home last weekend.
With the hectic schedule that hubby has, being away from home for his Bacolod and Cebu events for the past days, receiving an invite for a
staycation for the family to have quality time without having to go that far was indeed a treat.
We checked in on Saturday afternoon, after church services. We were directed to wait at the Lobby Lounge with welcome drinks and after the quick and seamless check-in, we were escorted to our room.
We were booked on a One-Bedroom Suite. Our suite had a bedroom, living room, and dining area with a kitchenette.
The living room is spacious and I love it! Just like in the bedroom, it has a home entertainment system with LCD television with cable channels and a CD / DVD player.
The 4-seater round dinning table contains some fruits and complimentary water and tea for our stay. The fully-equipped kitchenette has cooker hob & hood, electric kettle, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, rice cooker, toaster, glassware, crockery, cutlery and utensils.
The big bed, with comfortable sheets and the oh so soft pillows, was perfect for the three of us. Knowing that we are checking in with our little boy, the SMM Team prepared a surprise for him.
Thank you for the cookie, the coloring book, the crayons and the SMM bear!
The room has a desk, with charging docks, for laptops, and other gadgets. Perfect if you want to work on some online articles, using the complimentary wifi, but not wanting to leave the sleeping little boy by himself in the room.
The room also contains the wardrobes that houses the in-room electronic safe, the iron, ironing board. Seeing extra pillows there was heaven too!
The en suite bathroom are provided with towels & the needed toiletries. It has a separate shower and Gab’s favorite – a bath tub. Somerset uses ADA ‘green’ hotel beauty products. The shampoo, bath gel and the hand wash are provided in dispensers instead of the usual small plastic containers.
Somerset Millennium Makati has an outdoor swimming pool and Jacuzzi.
It also has a Fitness Center, Residents’ lounge with recreational facilities and a Spa & massage centre. Aside from the Laundry & dry cleaning services, they also have the self-service launderette.
What I love most about Somerset Millennium Makati is the location. Whether you are staying for a few nights or on longer terms, the place is the location.
Somerset Millennium Makati is nestled conveniently in the heart of Makati. The strategic location allows you to stroll to nearby open parks (Legazpi, Washington Sycip and Ayala Triangle Gardens), restaurants and malls (Greenbelt, Glorietta). No traffic, no stress!
If you want to just stay inside, they also serve daily breakfast. There is also a OPA! Mediterranean Cuisine at the second level that serves yummy chicken souvlaki. The hotel also houses The John Barbers Groomers which promises the best of luxurious relaxation and high class grooming. While this is a barbershop specializing for men, they also offer services to ladies.
Thank you SMM for the personalized service assistance to our family during our stay. We felt so comfortable and so at home. How we wished we could have stayed longer!
