Some weekends ago, Gab signed up for the KidZania Go! event in Glorietta. Though it was for kids 5 – 10 years old, he was permitted to join as long as he would be willing to do activities on his own. He was oriented that mommy cannot come with him as he do the activities but mommy will just be outside the event area waiting for him to finish.
We arrived a bit early and we were able to take a peek at what the other kids were doing. At 3pm, Gab’s group was allowed to enter the Kidzania area. He was given a bag and walked to the holding area as directed. While waiting for the activity to start, they were given a coloring sheet to keep them busy.
The kids were divided into 4 groups. Gab was part of the red group. Their first activity was painting at KidZania Go! Art Gallery. Each one was given an apron to wear, a paintbrush and several colors of paints.
The little artists!
After about 15 minutes, of mixing colors and painting, they went to the next activity: a science experiment. They were given lab gowns and were instructed to mix some fluids.

The third activity was in a bakery. There they were asked to wear a baker’s cap and given a cookie to decorate.
Decorating cookies!
The fourth activity was urban gardening. There, they were asked to wear a farmer’s hat and were given a small pot and were instructed to plant. Of all the activities, this was the only part that I get a nice, closer photo of Gab.
My handsome gardener!
The last part of the program was a special number of the Kidzania Zkeepers. Gab was so happy to see them, especially his favorite – Bache!
Gab had a great time. I was happy to see him get along with other kids and following instructions given to him to complete several tasks. He was the smallest in the group and I’m thankful to kids acting as big sisters to him. They talk to him, assist him to line up and holding his hands when it’s time for them to go. Gab was telling us that he has friends, the ates (big sisters), helping him at the event.
The KidzaniaGo event was a perfect sneek peek of what the Kidzania place is going to be about showcasing some of the play city’s role-play activities for kids. It’s the kids that do big things on their own. For those who missed the event, there will be another set up in Rockwell in June.
