I usually keep a pack of biscuit or cracker in my bag whenever I go out. I make sure I have snacks with me to refrain from eating chips and fast food, especially those fries that I really like! Last July at Takbo.ph RunFest, I got to try a new brand of protein bars.
Quest bars are made by Quest Nutrition. These are high protein, low carbohydrate , gluten-free and sugar-free bars. If you are watching your weight, this is a good alternative snack. Quest Bar contains 20 grams of whey protein and only 2-7 grams of carbs depending on the bar flavor.
There are currently 16 flavors to try. Of course I have my favorites: the cookie dough, the strawberry cheesecake and the mixed berries. I like Quest bars because they are not too sweet to munch on. It’s a clean and healthy snack without the guilt. It’s also a great pre/post workout snack as it is not too heavy.
