One way to celebrate Earth day together with the rest of the world, and by far the most popular, is by joining Earth Hour – turning off our lights for one hour every month of March. This year, if you are into running or getting fit, you can do more by joining the Natgeo Earth Day Run 2014. The proceeds of this event will go to World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Bancas for the Philippines. This project will help provide fiber glass boats to hundreds of fishing families in Haiyan-hit areas.
This year, runners are up for an exciting run as there will be a midnight marathon!
