I always see to it that we have copies of our birth and marriage certificates for the members of the family in our files.
When a person wanting any of the civil registry certifications, they need to go to the PSA Outlets, wait in line for hours to file a request and then go back to pick up the document. With the pandemic, PSA now requires that you set an appointment, via the Civil Registration Service Appointment System, prior to visiting the outlets.
Securing certifications of birth, no marriage, marriage, and death from the agency can also be done safely, without having to leave your home. I have been using the online service to requests for PSA Certificates via the PSA birth certificate online application for years now.
Requesting for a PSA Certificate online can be done in three easy steps.
Step 1. Request for a certificate.
Access PSA birth certificate online application. Choose the type of certificate you need and click whether you are requesting for your own or for someone else (parents, son or daughter). Fill up all the needed details. Part of this step is selecting the type of Government -issued ID you will present for receiving the requested document.
I like the part of the step on Legal Proceedings verification. It ensures that the copy of the document you will receive contains the remarks or annotations (as applicable). This is useful if you had correction of entry or Annulment/ Nullity of Marriage/ Legal Separation.
You will then receive an email that your order is ready for payment.
Step 2. Pay Online or Over-the-counter.
PSAHelpline.ph offers various payment options for convenience. Online and over-the-counter payments at their partner payment centers are accepted.
Certificate costs P365 for Birth, Marriage, or Death. For CENOMAR (Certificate of No Marriage), it costs P420. The rates are inclusive of the service fee and nationwide courier fees.
After your payment, you will receive an email that your order is being processed.
Step 3. Wait for the delivery.
Once your payment has been posted, all you have to do is wait!
An email notification will be sent when your requested document has been released. Another email will be sent when your document has been dispatched to the courier provider for delivery, with the estimated delivery date.
Your certificate will be delivered to your doorstep within 3-4 working days if within Metro Manila and 3-8 working days for orders outside Metro Manila. This estimates, whether within Metro Manila or outside the metro, have been accurate so far.
Documents are released only to the requestor. You will be required to present the actual ID upon delivery.
Just like with fellow mommy friends from Mommy Bloggers Philippines, I have been a return customer of PSAHelpline for several times. As a busy, homeschooling and working mom, this service is a lifesaver! It allows me to file requests for certified true copies of civil registry documents online at any time of day or night, and for seven days a week.
With this service, it makes certificate requests transactions faster, more orderly – from ordering, to payment, and to delivery – hassle-free! I appreciate the email notifications as they provide updates on the status of the request/s.
