I was invited for an early mother’s day pampering at Hotel Jen Manila. It was made more memorable because I get to spend the staycation with my family and some dear friends. Hotel Jen is the newest hotel brand in the Shangri-la group.
Club Lounge
We had a quick and convenient check in at Hotel Jen’s Club Lounge. As I was filling out the information details, we were served with refreshing welcome drinks. Our son enjoyed the views, watching for sea plans, yachts, ships and cars using the binoculars Hotel Jen has for their visitors.
The Club Lounge is something a bit special for guests occupying the suites and club rooms. The lounge serves free drinks and snacks all day long, and a special breakfast buffet. In here, guests can avail of the free local calls, use of the internet surfing desk and high-speed WiFi. There’s fast and free WiFi everywhere (everywhere in the hotel you may be), always.
This is the same place where we checked out and where we conviniently waited for our ride home.
Executive Suite
We had the Executive Suite during our stay. It’s a spacious, 72sqm size, accommodation where there’s a separate living area, a bedroom, a walk-in closet and a big bath with shower and a bath tub.
The living area, equipped with a satellite/cable television, comes with an executive writing desk, a separate comfort room and a small mini-bar. The minibar has a tea station and a complimentary freshly brewed coffee via coffee machines.
The bedroom has a large comfortable king-sized bed and plushy sheets. The room has its own tv, a work space area and a couch by the window where you can enjoy city views.
I love it that it has a walk-in closet. All our luggage were stored there and the living area and the bedroom is clutter-free!
The smart en-suite bathroom has bathtub and rainforest showerhead is great. You can use the tub for a bubble bath or use the shower head for a relaxing shower. Unlike in other hotel set-up, the tub and the shower occupies a different space. You are not using the shower inside a bath tub.
Pool, Play Area, Fitness Center and Massage Service
The pool is our favorite place to hang out during a staycation. It is where we frequent the most, that is when we are not eating or resting inside the suite.
Hotel Jen has a wadding pool for the kids and a big pool with a deep area for those who want to do their laps. The pool area has plenty of umbrellas and outdoor pool seats for everyone especially those watching over their kids. The staff at the outdoor pool serves everyone cold and refreshing watermelon wedges.
This fitness center is situated on the same floor. They have treadmills, stationary bikes, some weights for workouts. The play zone is an added treat for the kids. As it is by the restaurant entrance, they can spend time on this area while waiting to lunch to be ready.
Though there’s no spa center in the hotel, massage service is available. You can just book an appointment and they do a room service.
Restaurants: Kitsho and Latitude
Kitsho offers authentic Japanese cuisine. They offer a wide range of sushi and tempura. They have a buffet and an ala carte.
Latitude is the buffet restaurant of Hotel Jen. We are had our lunch here and we enjoyed the wide selection of food served
Bars and Lounges : Lobby Lounge and Coffee.com
The Lobby Lounge is the good spot for business meetings. They serve light refreshments including teas, coffees, fresh juices all throughout the day. It opens at 5pm and has live sports and entertainment starting at 8:45 pm.
Coffee.com is a cyber cafe that offers fast, free WiFi. A perfect place to grab a cup of coffee while catching up on work emails or the latest news. They serve pastries, salads, sandwiches and pasta dishes.
Hotel Jen Manila is located along Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City in Metro Manila. It is right across from the famous Cultural Center of the Philippines. For their guests, they offer complimentary shuttle service to Mall of Asia.
