Gab prefers eating bread and pasta, over rice. That’s why when we received an invitation to join the Brotzeit Junior Chef@Work Workshop, Gab was thrilled to bake his very own pretzel!
The kids were given a recipe for bavarian cheese pretzels and the pre-packed, measured ingredients.
They were then asked to get as messy as they can while they mix all ingredients into a ball. Then it’s time for the little hands to knead the to form a smooth doughs as long as their arms.
Chef Ivan divided the dough into 6 parts for the kids. The kids were then asked to make the longest “snakes” out of the dough.
The kids were then taught how to form the pretzels. The pretzels were then dipped into the prepared mixture of water, sugar and baking soda, and then lined up up in a baking pan for baking.
While waiting for the pretzels to finish, the kids were taught to be little baristas. They were asked to mix their own four seasons juice.
It was a fun afternoon for moms and kids (and daddies too!) to bond together. We enjoyed the yummy freshly baked brezel (German term for pretzel) and the refreshing four seasons cooler.
Moms and kids alike went home with goodies from the workshop’s sponsors. Thank you Cusina Home and Toy Kingdom! Thank you Mommy Bloggers Philippines for inviting us!
