We are homeschooling Gab but we have not started learning Filipino. Well, except for some common Filipino words and the lines of Bahay Kubo song.
He understands and can converse in English and in Ilonggo/ Hiligaynon, which is the primary language at home. Since he can read on his own with a good comprehension, in English, hopefully, this year we can introduce him to Filipino books.
For 35 years, Adarna House responds to Filipino children’s needs to have enjoyable literary experiences. This is good to know that they have books that we cann use for any age – from birth to college.
Here’s the Adarna House 2015 Calendar of Events. Looks exciting and hopefully we can get good deals and good books from these events.
