The Saucony Kinvara 5 is a performance training shoe and is the latest generation of its “natural motion running” shoe.
The Saucony PowerGrid Kinvara 5 incorporates several updates based from runners feedback. For runners to get more miles, Kinvara 5 has a new mesh, still lightweight and offers more flexibility and durability compared to previous Kinvara models.
The new Kinvara has a smoother, softer collar lining next to skin featuring a new material called RunDry® that creates an amazing step-in feeling and helps guard against chafing during the run. It also has midsole and outsole platform design updates for better abrasion resistance and cushioning on the outer side of the foot. Even with the upgrades, the weight hasn’t changed at all. The women’s shoe still weighs 6.7oz | 189.9g for a size 8.
The all new Saucony Women’s Kinvara 5 will be released thi May 1, 2014. The suggested retail price of $100.
The commemorative collector editions of the Kinvara 5 shoes were launched last April 6 at Paris Marathon, April 20 in London Marathon, and April 21 on Boston Marathon.
