Years ago when I was still breastfeeding our son, my reference for breast milk storage guidelines were taken from US blog sites. Considering that the temperature in the US is way different than in tropical countries like ours, I really did not follow the number of days, but instead set a stricter one for me to follow on handling my milk .
Breastmilk Storage Guidelines that I used as reference before
Last year, when I joined the ever active Breastfeeding Pinays Group in facebook, this guideline was shared. This is good news as breastfeeding moms now have the specific guide they can use as this is specifically for the Philippines.
This is the breastmilk storage guidelines from the Trainer’s Reference Manual ‘Gabay kay Nanay sa Tamang Pagpapasuso’. This guideline is set specifically for the Philippines.
If you are a breastfeeding mom, a dad, or anyone who wants to learn, protect, promote and support breastfeeding, look for and join the Breastfeeding Pinays Group in facebook.
